A one-stop shop to show off our award-winning design.

Purpose:
Create a space on the LendInvest website to introduce and advertise our portal, public roadmap, and change log.

Role:
Lead Product Designer

Background:
LendInvest has market-leading technology, for which we are always nominated for or winning awards. Brokers save time, money, and effort thanks to our smart automations, our elimination of exhaustive paper forms, and dramatically reduced back-and-forth with underwriters.

Responsibilities:
As a greenfield project, it was my responsibility to build on our brand in a way that presented our technology as cutting-edge and class-leading to would-be investors, customers, and within the industry.

Opportunities:
Investors, brokers, and even our own staff were often unaware of any changes – large or small – that we’d made to our tech. These included small tweaks through to huge updates, like making the entire portal responsive (a rarity in this industry!).

We saw that the old school of relying on in-person sales meetings and marketing communications weren’t making these changes obvious to our customers, so sought to build a tech-controlled area which could showcase our work.

We also saw it as a chance to highlight what we’re working on to our investors and as a form of advertising to potential employees within the tech, product and design teams.

Beyond that, this was a stepping stone towards exploring a future where LendInvest could look towards white-labelling our proprietary technology to other lenders. This would be a good place to demonstrate its current and potential value.

Work in progress:
As we could build something with minimal influence from both prior releases and stakeholders, I took this rare opportunity to really test and work the brand and image of our technology to its limits. We were all on board with the idea of this being as exciting as possible while retaining its ability to inform. Other leaders in the wider tech space had similar – why not us?

Brokers can see a link to the change log, FAQs, and general tech space front of place in their portals, meaning that they’re never more than a click away from reading about the latest updates. Externally, visitors to LendInvest.com can access this space from anywhere we talk about getting started with LendInvest.
